My dear friends, I'm asking for your vote on November 4th as I run for Kent County Drain Commissioner. I have been a life-long resident of Kent County and I believe it is the best place to live and raise a family. As many of you know, it is the plumber who protects the health of the nation. I've worked to protect our water in Grand Rapids as a plumbing inspector for the past nine years. In addition, I have a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Michigan State University, so I know what's going on both above the ground and below it. I need your support if my run is to be succesful.

My promise is to...

  • Protect and improve our water supply and prevent flooding by maintaining safe and effective drainage systems for Kent County
  • Slow down water runoff by installing onsite holding tanks and ponds
  • Continue to upgrade present Kent County drainage systems
  • Work with planners, engineers, manufacturers, and all citizen groups to advise on issues of sustainable growth while protecting our rivers, streams, and wetlands
